What are your main responsibilities?
I oversee and lead the engineering team towards a path to success. I ensure that projects and information are delivered on time and held to a high standard of quality and accuracy (The Rome Standard). I ensure that my department collaborates effectively and efficiently with other departments. I ensure that my department has a customer driven focus to provide the best possible product for the end user. I offer technical guidance to my team members as well as the sales and production teams. I align my team’s efforts with long-term company goals and vision of innovation.

What do you enjoy most about working at Rome Grinding Solutions?
I enjoy the culture the most. I not only like that the Rome team is like a large family, but that everyone here is driven to do their best. I like that we are all like minded in the fact that we all strive to improve and everyone is willing to help each other achieve their personal and professional goals.

What has been the most rewarding project or achievement during your time here?
My most rewarding achievement in my time here has been the growth of my department. Starting out as two fresh out of college engineers to being able to lead the growth of the department. We are now up to five engineers and have two branches within the department. I have personally been able to oversee the development of our quality control department. I have also enjoyed being able to bridge the gap between other departments and act as a central hub for collaboration between departments.

What does Rome Grinding Solutions do best to help its customers succeed?
We put the customer first. Whether it be the sales and customer service helping assist the customers or the production team prioritizing the customer needs to ensure they can get the parts they need when they need them. My department prioritizes the customers not only by designing products to meet their needs and desires but also implementing designs to improve aspects they did not know they need. Such examples are ergonomics, safety and 
ease of use.

Hobbies:
I enjoy building and restoring custom cars, motorcycles, mini bikes, or pretty much anything with a motor. I also enjoy spending time with my wife.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Flying. It seems like it would be fun to fly anywhere.

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I unintentionally started a vintage lawn mower collection. I also have an extensive vintage can and bottle collection. I also own three classic Ford Galaxies (six in my whole family)

If you could trade places with anyone in the company for a day, who would it be and why?
I would like to see things from the perspective of our outside sales team. I would like to be able to get a view at what they see on a day to day basis. This would help me to improve my department’s customer centric approach to projects. They get to see first hand the difficulties and desires the customers have and are able to work up ways to improve the customer’s facilities.
